The Artiste is one among Madurai Sisters (N.Jayasri) 

The talented sisters started learning Carnatic music at an early age from their grand father Sri. R.N. Sivasailam Iyer. Later on, they trained under Sri R. Kannan (a disciple of Padmabhushan  Sangeetha Kalanidhi Sri Madurai T.N.Seshagopalan) and subsequenty under Smt. Suguna Varadachari. Right now they are learning music under Sri. C.R. Vaidyanathan (a disciple of Padmabhushan Sri. P.S. Narayanaswamy). The sisters have been giving Carnatic concerts for the past 20 years. Their interest in Harikatha was due to their mother Smt. Krishnaveni's motivation. Right now, they learn Harikatha under Smt. Vishaka Hari in her Vijayashri School of Harikatha.
