Taarun Ganesh is a 10th grader at Thomas Jefferson High School, Virginia, USA. He started his musical journey at the age of 6 under the guidance of Sri. Vijay Hariharan. He explored manodharmam and enhanced his knowledge in keerthanas and varnams under the tutelage of Smt. Bhuvaneshwari Padmanabhan, Smt. Mythili Chandrasekaran, Smt. Kalpalathika Ravishankar and Sri. Vignesh Subramanian. Taarun has won awards in various competitions over the years and a frequent performer in the temples around Washington D.C, in addition to giving many concerts in the Northeast region of USA.
