Aadithyadev V is an 18-year-old upcoming Carnatic vocalist from
Punnayurkulam, Kerala. He began his journey in Carnatic music at the
young age of 4, under the guidance of his father, Ramesan V
Punnayurkulam. Aadithyadev made his debut in Carnatic music at the age
of 11, performing on the prestigious stage of Kalpathy in the presence of
stalwarts like Kongorpilly Parameswaran Namboothiri, Cherthala
S Dinesan, and Dr. V.R. Dileep Kumar.
He has been actively participating in Namasankeerthanam since the age of 7, alongside
the Guruvayur Bhajana Mandali led by Guruvayur GK Prakash. Aadithyadev has had the
privilege of performing in sacred places like Dwaraka, Rameswaram, Ayodhya, Rishikesh,
Mantralayam, Srirangam, Marthandam, and Pandharpur as part of the Akhilendia Bhajanmela,
conducted by Cuddalore Gopi Bhagavatar for the past 10 consecutive years.
Among his notable achievements, Aadithyadev has secured first place with an A grade
in Carnatic music at the Kerala Youth Festival for five consecutive years. He also won first prize
in the Kalpathi Rathotsava Sangeethotsava competition, received the “People's Favorite” award
in the reality show “Carnatic Music Idol Junior” conducted by Ragamalika TV, and won three
first prizes in the prestigious Madras Music Academy's annual music competitions in 2024.
Additionally, he received the “27th Augustine Joseph Memorial TAMBURU”, instituted by
Padma Vibhushan Dr. KJ Yesudas in 2024, for securing first prizes in the All Kerala Carnatic
Music Competitions conducted by Sree Poornatrayeesa Sangeetha Sabha, Tripunithura.
Aadithyadev also won three first prizes in Narada Gana Sabha's Carnatic music
competitions, and as a result, he had the opportunity to perform a prayer song in front of a large
audience during the inauguration of Narada Gana Sabha's Margazhi Sangeethotsavam.
Aadithyadev is also a recipient of the CCRT scholarship for Carnatic music (Vocal) from the
Ministry of Cultural Arts, Government of India. In addition to Carnatic music, he has won
prizes for Light music and Hindustani Ghazals at Kerala School Youth Festivals.
Currently, Aadithyadev continues his Carnatic music training under the guidance of Sri
CR Vaidyanathan, a disciple of PS Narayanaswamy, and is also a disciple of Sri Ramana
Balachandhran. He is pursuing BSc. Mathematics at Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda
College, Mylapore. Aadithyadev actively conducts Carnatic vocal concerts and participates in
Namasankeerthanams.
