Lavanya is a bright, personable and seasoned Bharatanatyam performer, a full-time arts professional, who teaches Bharatanatyam and Carnatic music in the U.S. and Singapore. She creates dance productions as well that makes the classical idiom more accessible to mainstream audiences outside India. Lavanya is a senior disciple of the veterans Shantha and V.P. Dhananjayan.
