B. Muthukumar
(Flute - Carnatic)
Hailing from a gifted family whose musical lineage goes back to several generations, Muthukumar is a highly talented flautist with an excellent reputation as one of Chennai's best young musicians, winning the Best Performance Awards from both the Madras Music Academy as well as the Sri Krishna Gana Sabha, as well as the prestigious Yuva Kala Bharathi title from Bharat Kalachar. He has trained under the renowned maestro Padma Shri Dr. N. Ramani and has played by his guru's side several times. He is a ranked artist of the All India Radio and the Doordarshan (Indian national television network), and has also successfully accompanied many reputed dancers for nearly two decades. In spite of his hectic schedule as a performing artist, Muthukumar is also a dedicated teacher.
