V. Thiruppugazh is a retired 1991-batch Gujarat cadre Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer and recognized expert in disaster management. He is best known for his advisory roles in the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and his leadership in flood mitigation panels.
